Conservative movement in America: Sheep to the slaughter…or just good Republicans? Let’s try “Romancing the Grizzly”
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008All week and last there has been a great debate raging on one of my favorite blog talk radio shows. One of the hosts of A Newt One came out and declared that he is not voting for John McCain for President. He just can not pull that lever for socialism. I commended him for his stance, yet, I also think he may have gone to far. Yet, it was great radio! There were so many fuming at him, I found it kind of funny. I think he should vote for McCain, but why not try “Romancing the Grizzly” to try to RIGHT McCain’s campaign before it is too late. I will explain this strategy later in the post.
Ronald Reagan reminded us not to speak ill of another fellow Republican. It is so hard these days to uphold that rule. Especially when I see my beloved Republican party in my own backyard sucking the government teet harder then those across the aisle. I will use John McCain as my example because he is running for the greatest office known to man. Now faced with John McCain as our endorsed presidential candidate in such dire times with our troops in the front line and a raging socialist squirrel, Barack Obama threatening to provide Jimmy Carter’s second term.
Just go back and listen to Jimmy Carter’s national addresses. He reminds me of a defeated, and helpless Mr. Rogers. However, Mr. Rogers was a war hero and geared his show to children. Jimmy Carter led like a child hopelessly overcome with stinking thinking and was no hero, more of a goat. Obama-nation threatens to release this socialist squirrel stinking thinking again on our great country. That makes me depressed and sickened at the same time. Don’t forget Heir Hitlery is still in the weeds with her suspended campaign and I can already see the kumbaya party they are going to try to throw and unite their party with a joint sickening ticket. It is enough to make a conservative start digging that survival shelter out here in the woods.
However, regardless of the threat of Obama-nation, does the conservative movement really think that backing McCain is really the right course of action when McCain keeps drifting to the left, turning more green, and growing government so that now all will be dependent upon the stank curdled milk of the government teet? Is this really what I put in 10-20 hour days defending with this Grizzly Groundswell blogs, sites and radio shows?
McCain started to get this Teddy Bear’s attention with his proposal for 45 new nuclear plants and opening up drilling off the continental shelf and coasts. I am a very pro big business, open market, small business, capitalistic fanatic. And I was still even paying attention after the litany of Global Warming and Green rhetoric McCain had to spew out just to get to this great announcement.
Then, the green initiatives continued, and I could see my economy stumble and this giant engine of America miss a beat. How do we expect John McCain to stay on the RIGHT side of the aisle when we blindly follow him to the left? Regardless of his political strategy, I know that our Republican candidates think they can win without us conservatives. For example, who else do we have to vote for in the end? My friends, if we continue this linear thinking and loosing campaign strategy, we will all loose.
You can not out left a socialist squirrel Democrat no matter how hard our current RNC leadership tries. You can not lead and uphold socialism. I realize very few politicians are leaders these days and more are just dancing chickens with special interests pulling the strings. In special interests, I am not talking about big business like the left are so undeniably stupidly against. I am talking about the Pro Life/Pro Choice, Pro Gun/Anti Gun, Union Labor/small business, Teacher Unions, Green movement, and any silly bandwagon that gets enough people to jump onto! This alone is the death of the party system as we once upheld and loved.
Politics today, as always has many problems and these problems are not solved with more legislation and regulation. They are solved with less, much less of it all.
As a life long Republican, I consider myself a Grizzly Groundswell Republican now, trying to make a distinction from those Republicans who take any government teet offered to them not knowing the difference between socialism vs. Freedom.
A Grizzly Groundswell Republican is awakened to the fact that socialism is the root evil in our country today. Not big business, and not our opposition. A great opposition, is a blessing to a great movement. It sharpens your mind, improves your skills of persuasion and makes each victory that much more joyous. Today, we do not have a great opposition. We do not have a battle of ideas like we should be having. Today, the lack of leadership in our Republican party and the hiring of worthless pundits and incapable advisors has left our party bankrupt enough to follow our opposition into stupidity!
A Grizzly Groundswell Republican Stands Up in defense of Conservative Ideals, thought, voice and action. I still stand with my Republican Party in the war on terror, the defense of this land and opening up the world markets so that American business can benefit and reap the harvest of wealth when our great products enter these other markets and lands. However, I can not stand up for this repackaged conservation movement that only leads to business sanctions, bail outs, and regulations that corrupt our markets and turn good business people into socialists that will not let go of that government teet.
A Grizzly Groundswell Republican steps into action, right in their backyard to awaken and stand up for others, and chase those socialist squirrels out of our backyard’s government and institutions. We develop networks and associations that benefit our message and cause. We lift up our neighbors and assist them when we can. We remind even our loved ones that start to slip back into taking the easy road of socialism and provide options to change their course. Socialism is so seductive of a temptation that I think most of us thinking back on our life story know exactly when we slipped and fell into the deception of socialistic thought or was snared in one of their programs. Let’s uphold ourselves and our elected officials not to take the easy way out of hard decisions because it is politically easy to sell. Let’s create a more educated populace that discerns a socialist from a real opportunity: Socialism Vs. Freedom
Together, or just myself alone like E. W. Everson had to stand, I and I hope we will change this political landscape starting right in our backyard’s. If I have too, I will stand alone to persuade the difference between a real opportunity and a socialist deception. I will not tire, and my opposition will not beat me down. We will split hairs and start this discourse together or just myself talking and writing into the wind.
I encourage defeating the socialist squirrel Obama. However, I do not encourage conservatives, and especially Grizzly Groundswell Republicans to lift up candidates who can not discern the difference between socialism and Freedom! Your vote is your business. I don’t care who you vote for, because I have faith that you will do the research and engage into a conversation somewhere, hopefully here, where you can receive guidance and tools make your own mind up and make that very important decision.
This is what I propose. My “Romancing the Grizzly Strategy” To me this strategic plan has our conservative best interest for the future at heart. We simply put our rifles down and go home to harvest the crop this fall. July, August and maybe even October, we do not do the heavy lifting for candidates that can not discern the difference between Socialism and Freedom. We just go back to our businesses. We write on our blogs about those candidates that get it and for those who don’t we let them whither on the vine.
However, we only do this, until these prodigal candidates get the message that they will be better fed at home in the conservative home here on the right side of the aisle, then the swine they are currently courting with their socialistic policy of Green initiative and government regulations that will shut this already sputtering economy down.
This is all I ask. Come Late September, and November when these idiotic RINO’s need our vote, go ahead and give it to them if you choose. I just ask you that we do not do the heavy lifting for them in July and August, maybe even October if they still have not figured it out. It is up to us to use our leverage to correct these candidates path. If we choose to do nothing but lean into the Republican yoke then we deserve to have to dance with these ugly candidates for the entire time they dwell in office like a bad memory of a past prom.
However, if our “tough love, Romancing the Grizzly strategy” can reach them, before it is too late, think of what better candidates they could become! Maybe we could actually turn the tide on these socialist squirrels we have in our silly opposition.
In my own backyard, I have many such socialist squirrel Rino Republicans running here. They will not get my time or effort to post on them. I will not mention their names. I only mentioned John McCain’s name because he is running for the seat of ruler of the free world, our office of President in the greatest country in the world. I want his attention, most of all, because it is so important to set him up on the right side of the aisle to fulfill his duty to this country and our troops on the front lines.
I call this tactic, “Romancing the Grizzly.”
Let’s see if we can not get our Republican’s candidates attention if we just lay down our arms and quit doing all the heavy lifting for them for two maybe three months. However long it takes until they start “Romancing the Grizzly” and coming back to the RIGHT side of the aisle in conservative thought, voice and action.
Think about it, what is McCain going to have to do when the blogosphere goes silent?
