Freedom's Just Another Word…

We are seeing it every day. The president is acting on his own accord with seeming disregard for the constitution and our system of checks and balances within government. We have seen the president fire a CEO of a company and put his own chosen man in that position. Our government has put itself in charge of deciding what certain individuals in private companies be compensated. The president has chosen to create many positions that are not responsible to anyone but him. He calls them czars. This puts him in a position of supreme authority over these areas, without any over site by congress; part of our checks and balances system.
Are we entering a time that could be called one of the darkest periods of human history? Where we could be ruled by brute force? It could be entirely possible if we don’t rise up now to stop it.

Congress is currently considering passing health care reform legislation without having any idea how we will pay for it. It isn’t even in its final form, currently full of markups. And yet they are pushing to make it a law. What is wrong with this picture?

Will we soon be a country where we may act only by permission? Will we soon have nothing left to lose because it has all been taken from us? Government is acting now as if it is free to do anything it pleases.

You as citizens that are still free need to band together to stop this assault on our freedoms. The time for endless chatter on message boards is over. Talk is cheap, but freedom has a price. Join with me. Join with others, but please start doing something now. Tomorrow you may not have that freedom or permission.
